This is one of the first plants that was planted to help create a Shady Nook. It grows fast in the spring and needs a good drink. Although it seems to tolerate dry spells. It’s hardy and could well develop into an extraordinary example of its kind. Update mid July 2025. The right hand plant as you approach it, we planted 2, has died and been extracted. Cause of death unknown, likely to be the dry year or untoward soil type.
